<p>Up for a romantic Valentineâs Day evening? Then head to the University of Colorado Boulderâs Fiske Planetarium to <em>Relativity for Lovers â A Valentineâs Day Among the Stars</em>, for music, film and a talk on the genius of Albert Einstein.</p>- <p>The Tibetan Association of Colorado (TAC) and the University of Colorado Boulder will co-host a campus visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Oct. 20 and 21, 2015, both groups announced today.</p>
<p>A schedule of events at CU-Boulder is still being finalized. The schedule and ticket information will be announced in the months ahead.</p>
<p>The annual Geminid meteor shower could be a fun show this weekend for Coloradans weather permitting, according to a University of Colorado Boulder astronomer.</p>- <p class="p1">On Tuesday, Dec. 9, renowned neuroscientists and psychologists will share research-based mental training techniques that have been shown to improve well-being and contribute to happiness, creativity and productivity. The community lecture is free and open to the public beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the University of Colorado Boulderâs Macky Auditorium.</p>
<p class="p1">The event, âWell-being Is a Skill,â will be led by Richard J. Davidson, University of Wisconsin-Madison professor of psychology and psychiatry and founder of the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds.</p> - <p>A measles vaccine made of fine dry powder and delivered with a puff of air triggered no adverse side effects in early human testing and it is likely effective, according to a paper to be published November 28 in the journal <em>Vaccine. </em>The paper is now available <a href="http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0264410X14013620">online</a>.</p>
- <p>A novel, low-cost method of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) developed at the University of Colorado Boulder and successfully used in human clinical trials in Belgium has been awarded a âBest of Whatâs New Awardâ from Popular Science magazine in 2014 in the health category.</p>
<p>Two NASA and one European spacecraft, including NASAâs MAVEN mission led by the University of Colorado Boulder, have gathered new information about the basic properties of a wayward comet that buzzed by Mars Oct. 19, directly detecting its effects on the Martian atmosphere.</p>
<p>University of Colorado Boulder administrators have signed a memorandum of agreement to host 36 of the nationâs top high school students beginning next summer to image, measure and track near-Earth asteroids using university telescopes.</p>
<p>Not everybody or everything makes it to 100, but the University of Colorado Boulder Homecoming is about to reach that centennial mark. On Nov. 7, 1914, CU took on Utah to win 33-0 in the first Homecoming featuring an intercollegiate matchup.</p>
<p>This year, from Oct. 22 to 25, CU-Boulder will host hundreds of guests at dozens of major events. In addition to the traditional football game and parade, the celebration will include a concert, an alumni lecture series, affinity reunions and college and school gatherings.</p>
<p>A Kurdish delegation will visit the University of Colorado Boulder campus Sept. 29 and 30 to deliver a public talk on the political situation in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and receive an electronic copy of important documents captured by Kurdish rebels in 1991 but removed from Iraq for safekeeping and analysis.</p>
