Men's Ice Hockey, D1: Assistant Coach

As an assistant coach of the University of Colorado ACHA D1 men's ice hockey program, you will compete at the highest level of collegiate club ice hockey within the toughest league in ACHA M1 — the Western Collegiate Hockey League (WCHL). You will oversee a roster of 26–34 players and manage a staff of approximately 6–10 off-ice interns.

  • Coordinate and supervise practices and games (practices held Monday–Thursday, 7:30–9:30 a.m., plus film and lifting sessions).
  • Coach games every Friday and Saturday night, both home and away.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship and a strong team culture.
  • Design and implement practice plans; advise on lineups and strategy.
  • Communicate effectively with club presidents, officers and players.
  • Maintain professional communication with other coaches, league officials and recruits.
  • Provide technical advice and instruction to players.
  • Coordinate in-game strategy and tactical decisions.
  • Travel with the team for all competitions (hotel and airfare for out-of-state tournaments are paid for by the club).
  • Support student leadership and athlete development.
  • Maintain communication and support club leadership in roster development.
  • Ensure adherence to all university and program policies.
  • High-level ice hockey experience (AAA, Juniors, NCAA D1 or D3 or ACHA M1 preferred).
  • Commitment to attending all team events and participating in off-season activities.
  • Ability to travel and responsibly supervise collegiate athletes.
  • Assist in building the season schedule and promoting the overall wellness of the program.
  • Possession of a Level 3 USA Hockey Coaching Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Women's Lacrosse: Head Coach

The University of Colorado Boulder women’s club lacrosse team is seeking a passionate, organized and competitive head coach to lead one of the top women’s club lacrosse programs in the region. The head coach will be responsible for player development, practice planning, game strategy, team culture and supporting the leadership of a highly motivated student-run organization.

This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, communicative and committed to helping student-athletes grow both on and off the field.

  • Plan and lead, with the president, team practices during fall and spring seasons
  • Communicate consistently with the team executive boardÌý
  • Weekly meetings with the team executive board
  • Develop practice plans focused on skill development, conditioning, team systems and game IQ
  • Coach all games and tournaments throughout the season
  • Create offensive and defensive strategies and make in-game adjustments
  • Foster a positive, competitive and team-oriented culture
  • Support player leadership and collaborate with team officers/executive board
  • Communicate consistently with players regarding schedules, expectations and team development
  • Provide mentorship and support to student-athletes
  • Maintain professionalism while representing the program and university

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous lacrosse coaching experience
  • Collegiate lacrosse playing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop athletes of varying skill levels
  • Knowledge of modern offensive and defensive systems
  • Organized, reliable and adaptable
  • Passion for growing women’s lacrosse and creating a strong team environment
  • Fall season:
    • 3 practices per week (approximately 1.5 hours each)
    • 1-2 tournaments/events
  • Spring season:
    • 4 practices per week (approximately 2 hours each)
    • Weekend competitions and travel tournaments

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, availabilit, and level of involvement with the program. Estimated compensation range: $40-60 per hour or $6,640-$9,960 annually.

Women's Soccer: Head Coach, Gold Team

The head coach will be expected to:

  • Plan and lead all practices
  • Coach and substitute during games
  • Set expectations and maintain accountability among players
  • Provide plays, strategies and skill development to elevate team performance
  • Serve as a leadership figure and maintain a positive, professional team culture
  • Travel with the team to away games and tournaments
  • Previous coaching experience at the high school level required; coaching at the collegiate level preferred
  • Knowledge of skills for individual positions
  • Requires prolonged standing
  • Possible demonstrations of skills
  • Occasional physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry or push heavy objects
  • Three practices per week
    • Tuesday: 6–7:45 p.m.
    • Wednesday: 4:15–6 p.m.
    • Friday: 4:15–6 p.m.
  • Games (1-2) on weekends, either home or away
  • Up to four tournaments
    • Sept. 24-27: CU Invitational (home)
    • Oct. 9-11: UCSB tournament (away)
    • Oct. 29-Nov. 2: Regionals (away)
    • Nov. 18-22: Nationals (away)
  • $6,000 for the season (Aug.-Nov.)
  • Paid in monthly installments
  • All flights, hotels and vans are paid for

  • Be able to step into the role of head coach if the head coach can’t make something
  • Mentor players to develop sportsmanship and respect for the game
  • Motivate players to improve
  • Be able to work with team officers and adjust according to their input
