CU Boulder leaders updated Boulder City Council members about campus initiatives underway to ensure the health, safety and well-being of students, faculty, frontline employees and other staff—and the broader Boulder community.
At a question-and-answer-style town hall on Aug. 13, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions of CU Boulder leadership on the COVID-19-ready campus, modes of academic instruction, protocols for health and safety, and more.
The University of Colorado Board of Regents heard an update from Chancellor Philip DiStefano about the Boulder campus’s plans for a COVID-19-ready fall semester, which included student move-in and testing, as well as ongoing controls and response plans.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Akirah J. Bradley has named Austin Jamar “JB” Banks as the associate vice chancellor and dean of students. Additionally, Devin Cramer has been appointed as the assistant dean of students.
Chancellor DiStefano has asked Vice Chancellor Bob Boswell to lead the implementation of the eight immediate actions announced on June 18 to improve anti-racism, diversity, inclusion and equity efforts on campus.
