<p>Chicago is the funniest city in the United States, according to a University of Colorado Boulder study.</p>
<p>Boston is the No. 2 wise guy, followed by Atlanta in third place. Denver made the top 10 list at No. 8.</p>

<p class="p1">Continued employment expansion in Colorado in the first half of 2014 is signaled in a quarterly report released today by Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler and prepared by the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business.</p>
<p class="p1">“Coloradans continue to persevere and show their can-do spirit by pursuing the American dream,” said Gessler. “As these business leaders create jobs, hopefully our employment continues to tick upwards.”</p>

<p>The confidence of Colorado business leaders remains positive and has increased slightly going into the second quarter of 2014, according to the most recent Leeds Business Confidence Index, or LBCI, released today by the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.</p>

<p>The University of Colorado Boulder’s Real Estate Council will hold its 17th annual forum Wednesday, March 5, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Denver Marriott City Center.</p>

<p><span>Students from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business will offer free tax preparation services to individuals under the Internal Revenue Service-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. </span><span>Members of the public who make $52,000 or less are eligible for the service, now in its fifth year at the Leeds School.</span></p>

<p>The University of Colorado Boulder has named Mark Meaney as executive director of the Center for Education on Social Responsibility (CESR) at the Leeds School of Business.</p>

<p>Average smartphone users are willing to pay up to $5 extra for a typical application—or “app”—that won’t monitor their locations, contact lists and other personal information, a study conducted by two economists at the University of Colorado Boulder has found.</p>

<p>Colorado will continue on the road to recovery and add a variety of jobs in 2014 across almost all business sectors following a positive year in 2013, according to economist Richard Wobbekind of the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.</p>
<p>The comprehensive outlook report for 2014 features forecasts and trends for 13 business sectors prepared by more than 100 key business, government and industry professionals.</p>

<p>The University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business will present its 49th annual Colorado Business Economic Outlook Forum on Monday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. at the Denver Marriott City Center.
