High School Graduation Parking and Traffic Advisory

CU Boulder hosts several high school graduations throughout the month of May. Public parking for event attendees will be available around CU Events Center. Guests can park at no charge in the following designated lots during their high school graduation ceremony.ÌýReview event parking areas map. Parking areas and roadways may be crowded as faculty and staff are leaving or returning from lunch and/or the end of the business day. ExpectedÌýimpact timesÌýare listed for each day.
Following is the schedule of the high school graduations:
- Monday, May 11, 2026 - Northglenn High School 2:00 p.m. & Horizon High School 7:00 p.m.
- Expect heavy traffic 12 Noon-2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. & 9:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 12, 2026 – Thornton High School 2:00 p.m. & Legacy High School 7:00 p.m.
- Expect heavy traffic 12 Noon-2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. & 9:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 13, 2026 – Mountain Range High School 2:00 p.m.Ìý

- Expect heavy traffic 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Boulder has a variety of great options for getting to and around campus for the events;Ìýhere are some tips to help you get to town and move around once you get here.
Bus/Transit
Whether you are coming to campus from out of town or in Boulder, downloadÌý or RTD'sÌý to see options available, including from DIA Airport.Ìý Once in town, rideÌý for access from Downtown or 29th Street Mall, and use theÌýCU Buff Bus for getting around between parking lots on Main and East Campuses.
Bike share
Ìýhas more than 15 stations on CU Campuses and is great for getting to and from events.ÌýÌý
E-Scooters
Ìýare currently allowed only in select locations in Boulder, but are a great option for getting around from East Campus and west of 28thÌý²õ³Ù°ù±ð±ð³Ù.Ìý
