Clara ChewÌýis a Senior Scientist at Muon Space, a vertically integrated small satellite company developing end-to-end Earth observation systems to deliver high-value environmental data for climate monitoring and disaster response. Drawing on a deep background in hydrology, she develops retrieval algorithms for remote sensing data products — translating raw satellite signals into actionable insights about our planet. Her work centers on leveraging NASA's CYGNSS satellite constellation to measure soil moisture through GPS reflectometry.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Dartmouth College before completing her PhD at the University of Colorado Boulder. She then joined NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Fellow, followed by a role as Project Scientist at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), before bringing her expertise to Muon Space.
