Susan Rice

Susan E. Rice is a veteran public servant who served as Domestic Policy Advisor to Joe Biden and National Security Advisor under Barack Obama—the only person to hold both roles. She also served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and a member of the Cabinet, shaping U.S. foreign policy and global engagement.

With more than three decades of experience, Rice brings deep expertise in national security, international relations, and domestic policy across regions including Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. She played a key role in major policy initiatives ranging from global health and economic development to climate agreements and domestic reforms.

Rice is currently a senior advisor at RAND Corporation, focusing on the geopolitical implications of artificial intelligence, and serves on several advisory boards. She is also the author of the bestselling memoir Tough Love: My Story of the Things Worth Fighting For.
