Nancy Smith has worked for 27 years with The Nature Conservancy, driving innovative approaches to creating a future where people and nature thrive together. She specializes in large private/public sector partnerships including working with partners in the Yampa Valley of Colorado to create the multi-million dollar Yampa River Fund, wine producers in northern California to protect endangered salmon populations, and ranchers in eastern Colorado to protect 27,000 acres of critical shortgrass prairie habitat to help the Colorado Department of Transportation mitigate the impacts of road maintenance activities. She is a second-generation Colorado native with a law degree and MBA from University of Colorado in Boulder.
