Announcing the Buckley Curriculum Ambassadors

The Buckley Curriculum Ambassadors (BCAs) have been relaunched – beginning January 9, 2026 – through the Buckley Center for Sustainability Education (BCSE).

Buckley Curriculum Ambassadors are frontline representatives for sustainability education development, integration and enhancement in their respective colleges and schools. BCAs work closely with fellow ambassadors and BCSE leadership while maintaining close collaboration with related organizations such as BFA and division/school/college leadership as they also share insights back with their division/school/college. These BCAs will help to advance sustainability-related integration of curriculum and faculty co-creation of related initiatives, sustainability literacy outreach and student engagement, collaboration with CU Boulder groups, organizations, institutes and external partners for positive campus and community impact.

BCAs are proportionally represented by the numbers of CU Boulder undergraduate and graduate students in each Division/School/College across campus:

Each Dean has nominated representative Buckley Curriculum Ambassadors in this inaugural cohort serve through May 31, 2026. In March 2026, these BCAs will have the opportunity to their interest in ongoing participation for AY26-27, from August 10, 2026 through May 31, 2027. Approvals will be made by their respective Deans. Deans may then appoint new BCAs in May for AY26-27. We will be bringing together the AY26-27 Buckley Curriculum Ambassadors the week before classes begin (August 10-14, 2026) for a half-day retreat for detailed planning. These positions will be renewable once, and there will then be coordination between past BCAs and incoming BCAs for continuity for the School/College/Division as well as more entry points for new perspectives and ideas across the entire CU Boulder faculty community. There will be AY26-27, AY27-28, AY28-29 and AY29-30 BCAs for active participation.
