Biography

Since August 2022, Carolyn Gleason has served as assistant dean for Advancement at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she provides strategic leadership for philanthropic engagement in support of the school’s mission, faculty and students.Ìý

Gleason oversees a team of development and engagement professionals responsible for major gifts, donor relations and alumni engagement. In this role, she works closely with individual donors, alumni and institutional partners to align philanthropic investment with Leeds’ strategic priorities and long-term vision.Ìý

Under her leadership, Leeds experienced its highest fundraising year ever in 2024–25, supporting critical priorities across the school, including significant investments in academic and experiential programming, faculty appointments, faculty research, and undergraduate and graduate student scholarships. Together, these strengthen Leeds’ ability to deliver academic excellence, expand access and accelerate impact.Ìý

Prior to joining Leeds, Gleason worked at Simmons College in Boston, where she held roles in donor relations and advancement communications. She drove engagement strategies for donor stewardship and elevated institutional storytelling.Ìý

She holds a master’s degree in higher education administration and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and international studies, both from Boston College. She is deeply committed to the transformative power of higher education and to building enduring partnerships that advance opportunity, innovation and student success.Ìý
